The two awards came nearly back-to-back, as both were awarded to him on the 20th.

Lee, a native of Benton, AR, won 22 games this season after winning only 5 in 2007. He has already won the AL Comeback player of the year award and is hoping for the AL Cy Young Award, which will be awarded in November. Lee has also been nominated for the Starter of the Year by the This Year in Baseball Awards.
