After spending a season with the LA Dodgers AAA team and the USA Olympic baseball team, Terry Tiffee has signed a one-year minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.

In addition to that, Tiffee has recieved a non-roster invitation to the Phillies spring training camp.

Tiffee, 29, is a native of North Little Rock, AR and a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, AR. He led the Pacific Coast League in hitting in 2008 with a .378 batting average. He made 6 major league appearances with the Dodgers last season, going 1-4 at the plate.

Tiffee’s chance of making the Phillies roster is slim, but with the ability to play third base, first base and outfield, he may crack into the big leagues again this season.
