Hall of Famer and Arkansas Native Kell Passes away at 86

It was announced early this morning that Baseball Hall of Famer and Swifton, AR native George Kell has passed away. He was 86.

Kell played 16 years in the Major Leagues with 5 different teams. He was a 10-time all-star and the 1949 American-League Batting Champion. He was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986.

Brooks Robinson and Lou Brock are now the only living Hall of Famers born in Arkansas.
