Arkansas Traveler Mike Trout named MILB Player of the Year

20-year old Mike Trout, who spent most of the 2011 season with the AA Arkansas Travelers, was named the Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball American on September 7th.

Trout played 91 games with the Travelers, hitting .326 with a .414 OBP and a 958 OPs, topping all three categories in the Texas League. In addition, Trout hit 11 homeruns and stole 33 bases.
